Immigration officers have arrived in the Democratic-run city as part of President Donald Trump's intensifying crackdown on undocumented immigration, according to government announcements.

The initiative, dubbed "Charlotte's Web Operation", was revealed on the weekend, with representatives stating that "illegal immigrants with criminal records" would be primary subjects in the urban area.

"We are surging immigration officers to the city to protect American citizens and eliminate security risks," an official representative commented.

Municipal leaders, including Charlotte's mayor, published a collective announcement opposing the campaign, saying it was causing "needless concern and instability" in the community.

Tactical Approach

Military-style vehicles and special operations teams could be deployed for the North Charlotte operation, according to internal government documents.

A group from a local church working on grounds at a local place of worship retreated to wooded areas when authorities descended, with a person being detained, according to accounts.
